About Samuel Spitz:
Samuel Spitz was a strong ambitious man in many ways. He spoke five languages, worked out 5 days a week, ran marathons and his entire life centered around eating healthy and being fit.  When he became sick with PSP and stuck in his wheelchair it killed him in more ways than one, especially since he was so active. However, as sick as he was he still managed to keep a smile on his face. He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others even when he was sick. He communicated the best he could and fought until the very end. He was in hospice for a year and a half years which is unheard of. It is believed his healthy muscles and attitude kept him alive and even doctors were shocked.
