The Fund can be shared among friends, family, associates and others, to encourage gifts in tribute. A Tribute Fund requires $1,000 minimum in annual donations to be maintained.

For more information or to set up a Tribute Fund please email donations@curepsp.org.

Recognition Wall

CurePSP hosts a Recognition Wall, where Tribute Plaques can be placed in honor or memory of someone close. For a minimum donation of $250 yearly, we will place the plaque on the Recognition Wall with a personalized message.

Your Gift May Be A Cure

There are many ways to leave your mark in the world, lasting achievements for which you will be remembered. Your children, career accomplishments, artistic or literary creations, the fond memories of friends, family and colleagues. There will be no greater legacy than an inheritance for future generations of a cure for PSP and related prime of life neurodegenerative diseases. Planned giving to CurePSP is one of the best ways to use your success to help create a future free of these devastating diseases. There are a number of ways to recognize CurePSP and its cause of care, consciousness and cure in a program of sustained giving.

Planned Giving Opportunities

There are several options for providing a planned gift to CurePSP. All gifts are tax deductible and can offer benefits for the donor.

Gifts of Cash or Securities

– Sustaining gift – a pledge from one to five years
– Support gift – annual donations
– Tribute gift – to memorialize, recognize or honor a loved one

Benefits of a Planned Gift

– Offers tax advantages
– Gift may drive from assets
– May allow the donor to make a significantly larger gift than would normally be possible

Bequests involve making a provision in your will wherein a charitable organization receives cash and/or other assets at the time of the donor’s death. Bequests may be used to establish memorials in honor of the donor, family members or others.

To make a bequest of cash or property to CurePSP, your will or a supplemental codicil should state:

“I give and bequeath to CurePSP, a nonprofit organized under the laws of the State of Maryland, and having its office at _____________________________, the sum of $__________ or _____________% of the residue, rest and remainder of my estate to be used for the general purpose and mission of the organization.”

Gifts of Life Insurance

– Transfer of ownership from an existing policy to the charitable organization
– Purchase of a contract by the donor, where the institution is named the beneficiary

Charitable Remainder Trusts

Used by donors to transfer assets to a trust, which then goes to the charitable organization after the death of the last beneficiary. The donor retains a fixed amount of variable income for life.

Charitable Lead Trusts

Established by a donor transferring assets to a trust that provides income to a nonprofit organization for a period of years. At the end of that period the trust assets revert either to the donor (grantor) or to someone else the donor designates (nongrantor).

Contact your financial advisor and legal counsel to determine the best option for you and your family. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact David Kemp, President, at 802-734-1185.
