  • Barney's Hummingbird Note Card Fundraiser
Barney and Fran Myer are conducting a beautiful note card fundraiser to beneift CurePSP. Barney's story is as follows:

Barney was diagnosed with PSP in 2010. For Barney, his double vision and frame by frame or "stuttered" visual experience means everythihg he does and sees requires great concentration and effort. Though not an artist by training, he took photos of hummingbirds that visit his patio in Arizona. With help from his wife Fran, they were transformed into faded black and white, enlarged and printed on art paper. Barney used Prismacolor pencils to enhance the picures. His artwork captures the joyful spirit of these amazing little birds.

The cost is $10.00 for a set of 6 cards and 6 envelopes plus $2.00 shipping and handling. All procceds from the sale of these note cards will be donated to CurePSP. To order, please send an email request to pickleballstuff@comcast.net

We are unable to upload photos of the beautiful note cards at this time. When you email Fran at the above address, please ask her to send you sample photos of the cards.

"May your life be joyful and may you accomplish that which seems impossible."

    Thank you

  • Alex Frink - Half Ironman TriathlonAugust 15,2010
    Lake Stevens, WA

This Half Ironman Triathlon consists of swimming 1.2 miles, cycling for 56 miles, and running a half marathon (13.2 miles), all of which takes dedication and training. For Alex, it goes beyond the competition; he’s participating in memory of his father Stevens Frink. Here's what Alex has to say:

"One of the reasons why I'm participating in this triathlon race is to raise awareness of PSP. When my father was diagnosed with this debilitating disease in 2001, it was heartbreaking and frustrating to recognize that there was no known cause, treatment or cure. I hope that by raising awareness through this event that more people will become educated about PSP and hopefully contribute to the educational and research programs of the CurePSP Foundation. Another reason is that when I was a teenager I was actively doing triathlon races and my father was my biggest supporter. I feel it is fitting to participate in a sport that we both enjoyed."

CurePSP wishes Alex a safe and successful event.
