Andy Maus will apply his personal and professional experience to advancing the foundation’s mission. His connection with prime of life brain diseases is a personal one, with close family members who were affected by progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), one of the three diseases for which CurePSP provides care, awareness, and research support.
CurePSP conducts an International Research Symposium that brings together international investigators to hear about and discuss the latest scientific advances relevant to neurodegeneration with a particular focus on rare tauopathies such as PSP and CBD. The Symposium highlights research by leading neuroscientists and welcomes all researchers with an interest in preclinical and clinical neuroscience.
Join us at this year's CurePSP Fall Family Conference at the Philadelphia Airport Marriott in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Monday, November 14, 2022! We have partnered with Penn Medicine to provide informative presentations on multidisciplinary care, physical therapy, research updates, social work, palliative care, and more!
Our current venture Grants applications deadline is October 14th, 2022. CurePSP provides “seed funding” to investigators who have innovative ideas that need “proof of concept” in order to qualify for larger funding sources. CurePSP will fund studies on PSP and CBD with a particular interest in (i) molecular and cellular (pathological) mechanisms that may operate also in related diseases and (ii) translational clinical research involving PSP and CBD patients.
In the fall of 2019 Mary Kay Ream was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). To celebrate her courageous fight, the Ream family is hosting a march in support of CurePSP! You have the option of doing a 1 mile walk or a 5k run. All ages and abilities are welcome! Food and beverages will be served at the finish line.
All proceeds from the walk/run will go directly to CurePSP and a $30 donation to CurePSP is recommended for each participant.
Register by September 1st, 2022 to receive an event T-shirt!
