Patient and Caregiver Education Day: PD, Atypical Parkinsonisms, and Other Prime of Life Diseases
This program is designed to connect patients and family members to a variety of movement disorders providers including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists who specialize in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, Atypical Parkinsonisms and other Prime of Life diseases. Diagnosis and symptom management, rehabilitation strategies, mood and emotions, and available programs and resources will be discussed. Attendees will feel more empowered to advocate for their medical, rehabilitation, and emotional needs after this program. They will also receive practical tools that will help them formulate a plan for their healthcare journey.
