Bonelli Music Bash Celebrates Ten Years of Heart and Harmony

Oct 10, 2025 Sabrina Da Rocha

The moment you walked into All That Jazz you could feel the energy of a decade's worth of music, friendship and memories. Lois Bonelli has always been the heartbeat of the Bonelli Music Bash, and the 10th anniversary proved exactly that.

This year’s event honored not only Lois’s late husband, John Bonelli, but also John’s brother, Matt, who passed away unexpectedly this year. John, a beloved drummer and singer, helped launch the Bash in 2015 and celebrated the first two years before his passing in 2017. Matt was an integral part of the Bash and a talented musician who once played with the Bee Gees, and he was deeply involved in organizing the Bash each year.

“It’s a special community, and people want to honor John, but this year a lot of people are here because of Matt too,” Lois shared. “We have some of the best musicians, and they love being here, sharing their music and supporting this event.”

And she was right because the energy in the room was unmistakable. Laughter and smiles spread like music and weaved together the stories, memories and friendships that have grown over the past decade.

The silent auction, always a highlight of the event, grows each year and showcased the generosity of the community. From handmade pottery and jewelry to University of Miami tickets, Dolphins Lexus Club seats and even a Hard Rock basket valued at over $1,000. Every item carried the spirit of giving that fuels the Bash.

Hosted by Lois and her family, this year's event brought together over 100 guests and raised over $13,000 a testament to the power of music and this community.

Ten years in, the Bonelli Music Bash has become exactly what John and Matt would have wanted: friends, family and musicians gathering to honor their lives through music and community. Their impact is felt in every conversation, every smile and every act of generosity. This year, the sense of connection was stronger than ever, proving that John and Matt’s legacies live on in every beat.
