CurePSP Guide to PSP/CBD

The Guide for People Living with PSP, CBD & Related Brain Diseases

CurePSP has created The Guide to assist persons with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), multple system atrophy (MSA), or related brain diseases, as well as their caregivers, family members and friends as they travel the challenging path of the diseases.

The Guide for People Living with PSP

The purpose of The Guide is not to offer ultimate answers on the causes or reasons for these terrible diseases, as helpful as that might be, because at this time, the scientific and medical community still does not have the answers. We just don't know what causes PSP, CBD and MSA, or why one person in a family gets the disease, and the rest do not. The purpose is mainly to try to meet the needs (both with information and support) of the individuals - patients with PSP, CBD, MSA or related brain diseases and their caregivers - while they are struggling down their personal paths of living with the disease.

Chuck Peebler

CurePSP (The Foundation for PSP | CBD and Related Brain Diseases) is truly grateful for the support of the Peebler PSP Research Foundation, founded by Chuck Peebler (pictured right), for the publication and distribution of The Guide. His family is currently on their own personal path of coping with Chuck's absence after he recently succumbed to PSP.

In addition, we thank Mrs. Mary Kirkey for her generous support of this publication in memory of her husband, Robert, who passed away from PSP in 2006.

We hope that you will find The Guide to be useful and that, in the very near future, we will have the opportunity to revise it with the words: "we have now found a prevention or cure!"
