CurePSP Guide to PSP/CBD
A Guide for People Living With PSP, CBD & Other Atypical Parkinsonian Disorders
CurePSP has created this publication to assist persons with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), or other atypical Parkinsonian disorders, as well as their caregivers, family members and friends as they travel the challenging path of the diseases.
The purpose of the guide is not to offer ultimate answers on the causes or reasons for these terrible diseases, as helpful as that might be, because at this time, the scientific and medical community still does not have the answers. We just don't know what causes PSP, CBD, or why one person in a family gets the disease, and the rest do not. The purpose is mainly to try to meet the needs (both with information and support) of the individuals - patients with PSP, CBD, or related brain diseases and their caregivers - while they are struggling down their personal paths of living with the disease. We've recently updated this guide and the newest edition (August 2012) is now available.
We hope that you will find the publication to be useful and that, in the very near future, we will have the opportunity to revise it with the words: "we have now found a prevention or cure!"
