CurePSP Grows Prestigious Medical Network for PSP and Related Brain Diseases

NEW YORK, Sept. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — CurePSP announced that its network of Centers of Care has grown to 38 institutions with the addition of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and University of Washington School of Medicine.

The foundational program advances regional and global leadership in comprehensive care delivery and innovative research for the neurodegenerative diseases of progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD) and multiple system atrophy (MSA).

“The vulnerability of living with a medical condition is often exacerbated for those navigating a rare and quickly progressive disease like PSP, CBD or MSA,” said Jessica Shurer, MSW, LCSW, director of clinical affairs and advocacy. “With each addition of new perspectives and energy to the CurePSP network, we expand our capacity to foster person-centered care, disease-specific resources, tailored community outreach and opportunities for clinical trials.”

Due to the lack of familiarity of PSP, CBD and MSA among many healthcare professionals, people often have significant delays in obtaining an accurate clinical diagnosis and specialized treatment plan, all while experiencing worsening of walking, vision, speech and swallowing difficulties and increased care needs.
